The efftct was assessed of paraquat administration on the antioxidative defense mechanism in blood and liver. Ten-week-old senescefice-accelerated miee were fed with either a 209t6 casein diet or the same diet supp]emented with 200 ppm paraquat for 12 weeks. About O.2 m] of bloed withdrawn periodically from the supraorbital yein was assayed for the activities of antioxidatiye enzymes and oxidative damage.
